VIEWTY is a multidisciplinary piece created by Laura Sofia. Its composed by a dance theater performance ritual, together with a photo and video exposition exposed in the Gallery of Ein Hod, Israel.

The performance is an exploration of the gap between modern-day society’s representation of beauty and the way beauty is experienced by each of us as individuals. To what extent are we influenced by society’s demanding standards of aesthetics and physical appearance?

VIEWTY assembles a sequence of short stories presenting diverse perspectives from women and their relationships with beauty, truth and their bodies. These stories are all connected by one body: that of a woman exploring realness and authenticity, and being moved by these diverse experiences of beauty and truth through the body.
This work is the fruit of a series of intimate encounters with women and their original voices, and features photographs taken within the encounters.
